Storm place eighth at Dan Huston Invite
WAVERLY, Iowa - Jade Osborne paced the Simpson women's cross country team on Saturday, leading the Storm to an eighth-place finish at Wartburg's Dan Huston Invitational.
"We are continuing to make great improvements with each meet," head coach Heath Moenck said. "Jade had a great individual performance and is establishing herself as a leader on the squad."
Osborne led Simpson for the third time in as many races, placing 19th. She navigated the 6k course in 24:23.
Courtney Licht ran a solid race, placing 43rd (25:41). Annie Hills took 48th (25:56), Maddy McAreavy placed 67th (26:48) and Lauren Doocy finished 81st (27:20).
Shelby King came in 94th (28:04) and Erin Guzman placed 97th (28:10) to round out the top seven.
Simpson returns to the course on Saturday, Oct. 15th when it competes in the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational in West Salem, Wis.
