Noland named to D3football.com Team of the Week for second consecutive week

INDIANOLA, Iowa – For the second straight week, Simpson College linebacker Noah Noland has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, recognizing his standout performance in Simpson's 28-27 road win over Loras.

Noland filled the stat sheet once again, posting 17 tackles, including a career-high 14 solo, along with 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a quarterback hurry, and two blocked extra points in the fourth quarter. His second block came on the potential game-tying kick with 1:11 remaining, sealing the Storm's victory and preserving their perfect road record this season.

This marks Noland's second consecutive D3football.com Team of the Week selection and continues a stellar freshman campaign for the American Rivers Conference's leading tackler. He currently stands as the only player in the league to amass 100 tackles on the year and ranks fourth nationally in tackles per game (12.5).

The D3football.com Team of the Week is a national honor recognizing the top individual performers across Division III each week of the season. Noland becomes the seventh Simpson football player to land on the national team on more than one occasion in their careers, and just the second to do so in back-to-back weeks.
