Meyer, Williams garner postseason honors

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The American Rivers Conference announced its 2024 All-Conference Volleyball Team today, naming outside hitter Emily Williams and libero Ella Meyer as honorable mention selections.

The Storm completed their season with a 9-16 overall record, finishing 3-5 against A-R-C opponents. The team's season was marked with a victory over Wartburg, their first win against the Knights since 2009. The Storm also upset ranked opponent No. 21 Cornell College in a September tournament.

Ella Meyer, Honorable Mention

• Freshman libero from Epworth, Iowa
• Ranked third in the conference with 4.74 digs/set
• Came in sixth overall in conference with 460 total digs
• Named to the Central/Grinnell All-Tournament Team
• Finished the season with 460 digs, 107 assists, and 23 aces
• Recorded over 20 digs in nine matches and over 30 digs in two matches
• Had two double-doubles during the season

Emily Williams, Honorable Mention

• Sophomore outside hitter from Malvern, Iowa
• Earns her second postseason honor
• Finished eighth in the conference in kills per set with 2.92
• Came in 10th in the conference in total kills with 283 and ninth in points per set with 3.31
• Finished the season with 283 kills, 211 digs, 31 blocks, and 21 aces
• Named to two all-tournament teams this season
• Recorded eight double-doubles on the year and 14 games with 10 or more kills
• Broke her career-high record of kills in a match with 19 against Buena Vista
