Storm men stay steady at No. 6 in regional rankings, earn votes in national poll
NEW ORLEANS -- The Simpson College men's cross country team stayed put at the number six spot in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Midwest Region Rankings and received six votes in the National Coaches' Poll.
The Storm brought home their second-straight third place finish at the American Rivers Conference Championship last Saturday with three student-athletes earning all-conference honors. Spencer Moon and Harry Dudley earned a spot on the 15-person team for the second year in a row and Louden Foster ran a career-best for his first all-league recognition.
Simpson is one of five American Rivers Conference schools recognized in the regional poll. Wartburg and Loras retained position at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively, and Luther and Central swapped places at No. 7 and No. 8.
The team will return to action on Nov. 13 at the NCAA Midwest Regional in Rock Island, Ill.
