Men’s cross country stays seventh in regional rankings
NEW ORLEANS -- The Simpson College men's cross country team holds steady in seventh in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Midwest Region Rankings, the organization announced Tuesday.
The American Rivers Conference showcases five squads inside the top 10 in the region, with Wartburg holding the top spot. Loras (fourth) and Luther (fifth) are right in front of the Storm, while Central sits eighth.
Simpson has been off since Sept. 11 and will return to action this Friday in the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois. In addition to the Duhawks and Dutch at the event, Chicago and Millikin will compete at Saukee Golf Course. The two squads are ranked fourth and ninth, respectively, in the region.
