Storm top Central in home finale

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson women's tennis team rode a 2-1 start in doubles to a 5-4 win over Central in the home finale on Tuesday evening at Buxton Tennis Complex.

Tiffany Bost, Allison Anderson and Lindsay Nash all went 2-0 on the day for the Storm (9-8).

The team of Bost and Anderson earned an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles before both went on to win singles matches. Bost came back for a 1-6, 6-4, 10-8 win over Riley Taylor at No. 1 and Anderson beat Chelsea Johnson at No. 2, 7-5, 6-2.

Nash chalked up a 6-0, 7-5 win over Ashlei Bos at No. 3 singles and teamed with Lauren Schemmel for a close 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles.

Simpson moves to 2-1 during the spring season with the win. The 2011-12 schedule concludes April 17 when the Storm travel to Graceland for a 3 p.m. match.
