Freshmen Schechinger and Stover lead Simpson at NCAA Midwest Regional
WAVERLY, Iowa - Top-100 performances from Brylee Schechinger and Kalia Stover highlighted Simpson's afternoon at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday.
The duo cracked the 25-minute mark for the Storm, placing 94th and 99th overall in the highly competitive field. Elie Tuhn and Emma Miller finished with identical times of 25:12.1 minutes, placing them third and fourth on the team. Kate Huisinga, Ava French, and Araceli Tapetillo rounded out the scorecard for the Storm, with all finishing under 26-minutes.
As a team, Simpson wrapped the year in 18th in the region with 557 points. Washington University took home the regional crown, barely beating out Chicago by just six points. Wartburg was the highest finisher from the A-R-C, taking home third at 91 points.
