Storm fall in final A-R-C matches of fall season

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Storm women took on a tripleheader this weekend in Indianola at the Buxton Tennis Complex. The team took to the courts this weekend to face off against Coe, Wartburg, and Luther, continuing their conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED VS COE
Simpson fell to Coe on Friday night in singles and doubles competition. Coilee Hynek and Anna Schewe led the team in singles competition. Anna Schewe's scoring forced extra play for her singles match, while Coilee Hynek put up an outstanding 7-6 (7-5) performance in her matchup.

In doubles competition, pair Anna Schewe and Hannah Roth performed the best against the Kohawks with a score of 6-2, falling to Coe.

HOW IT HAPPENED VS WARTBURG
The Storm put forth a hard effort against Wartburg, led by Savana Walls, Coilee Hynek, and Maggie Hall in singles competition. Savana Walls' 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 scores pushed her match to extra play, while Coilee Hynek and Maggie Hall both scored the most points after Walls for the team's singles competition.

In doubles play, Grace Peck and Maggie Hall scored the most points for the Storm, coming up short in a close 6-3 match against the Knights. Coilee Hynek/Savana Walls and Anna Schewe/Hannah Roth both closed their doubles competition falling with a score of 6-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED VS LUTHER
Coilee Hynek had a standout performance against Luther in singles competition with a score of 7-6 (7-2), 6-2. Closely behind Hynek was the next highest scorer for the Storm, Maggie Hall, with final scores of 6-3, 6-1 in her loss.

Anna Schewe/Hannah Roth kept the closest score in doubles competition against the Norse, falling with a score of 6-3. Both of the other doubles competitors brought in a score of 6-1 for the Storm.
