Storm drop 6-3 decision to Cornell

INDIANOLA, Iowa – In their final home match of the season Simpson women's tennis team couldn't tame the Rams as former IIAC Conference foe, Cornell, escaped with a 6-3 win.

Both Kelli Ehrhardt and Kelli Greiner notched another mark in the win column after defeating Anne Seng, 6-0, 6-2, and Dana Dowell, 6-3, 6-2, in straight sets at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Ehrhardt finishes the regular season with the most wins, 4, out of the No. 3 position while Greiner tallies the second most wins, 3, at the No. 4 spot in IIAC Conference play.

The Kelli's continued to rack up the W's as they earned their ninth win of the year in dominating fashion at No. 2 doubles after downing the Rams duo of Dana Dowell and Veronika Reidel, 8-1. The victory gave them the second most wins at No. 2 doubles in the Iowa Conference as well.

Simpson travels to Decorah, Iowa this Friday and Saturday for the 2013 IIAC Individual Conference Championships.
