Engler guides Storm to fifth place finish at Bradley Pink Classic
PEORIA. Ill. - As the season moves forward, Drew Engler continues to impress, setting a new personal record and leading Simpson to a fifth place finish at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday.
Since the beginning of the year, Engler has dropped nearly three minutes off his time leading to his best time of the year of 25:33. The mark not only led Simpson but placed him 11th overall out of 222 runners.
Providing the one-two punch for the Storm was Cole Leggett. Leggett finished just eight seconds behind Engler for second on the team and 15th overall.
James Johnson, David Lochner and Ezra De Cleene all finished within three seconds of each other to place third, fourth, and fifth on the team respectively. Jack Cavan and Ben Reyes rounded out the top-seven for the Storm.
Simpson took home a fifth place finish out of 18 teams with 119 points.
