Booth captures A-R-C runner of the week award after another strong performance
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The trophy case continues to grow for Teghan Booth after the senior was named the American Rivers Conference women's cross country Runner of the Week on Monday.
Booth captured her third straight top-3 finish of the season, coming in second at the Brissman-Lunden Invitational. Booth led the way for the Storm, who took home the team title, the second of the season for Simpson. Her time of 23:29.7 placed her second out of 101 runners.
The Storm's victory included a win over regionally ranked Augustana. Simpson has one final race before the postseason begins, competing at the Platte River Rumble on Friday, Oct. 18.
For Booth, the award marks the first of her career, and the first for the Storm's women's cross country team this season.
