LAMONI, Iowa – Playing their fifth game in the last 11 days, the Simpson College men's soccer team suffered the first loss of the season to Graceland by a score of 2-0.
The Yellowjackets (3-1-1) converted a penalty kick early in the contest and tacked on an insurance tally in the 72nd minute off the foot of Nicolo Monacelli.
Simpson (4-1-0) was outshot 17-14 and played with 10 men for the bulk of the game after a red card was issued in the 35th minute. Baraka Ellie led the Storm with five shots (four on goal).
