Simpson earns three all-conference selections at A-R-C Invite
PELLA, Iowa – Three Simpson College athletes were recognized on all-conference teams as the Storm competed at the American Rivers Conference Competitive Cheer and Dance Championships this weekend.
Junior Lauren Long earned All-Conference First Team honors in dance, while sophomore dancer Sarah Ashing and freshman cheerleader Biahna Weigandt were named to the Second Team.
On the team side, Simpson's dance team placed fifth in hip-hop and pom and fourth in jazz. The Storm cheer team finished fourth in the game day category.
Central swept all three dance categories to earn the overall dance championship for the fourth straight season, while Dubuque captured the overall championships in cheer for the second year in a row.
