Bio

Emma Cochran joined the Simpson women's wrestling staff as an assistant coach in June 2023 and was elevated to associate head coach in February 2025. 

Since her arrival in 2023, Cochran has been instrumental in transforming Simpson women's wrestling into one of the most competitive programs in the country. She came to Simpson from Grand View University, where she was a part of the inaugural women's wrestling recruiting class. Cochran was a Senior Team Member, a two-time NAIA All-American, a Junior National Team All-American and a team representee for Wrestlers in Business Network.

In 2022, Cochran was named the Heart Conference Tournament Outstanding Wrestler after capturing the 101-pound championship. The two-time Scholar All-American also received the Clutch Performance Award and was the SHAPE research symposium top overall winner.

Originally from Chariton, Iowa, Cochran graduated from Grand View in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology.
