Bio

Simpson expanded its coaching staff in 2025, adding two-time Olympian and former University of Missouri associate head coach Natasha Brown. A silver medalist in the 4x400m relay at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics, and gold medalist in the 4x400m relay at the 1993 World Championships, Brown brings an extensive resume of experience to Indianola.

Over her 25-year coaching career, including 16 seasons as Drake's track and field and cross country head coach, Brown coached eight NCAA finalists, 32 conference champions, 41 school records, and 47 NCAA qualifiers.

Prior to coaching, Brown was a member of 16 U.S. national teams after winning the 1989 NCAA National Championships in the 400m. A six-time NCAA All-American, five-time conference champion, and former NCAA collegiate record holder in the 400m, Brown was named to the SEC Legends program in 2020.
