After six years on the sidelines, Claire (Johnson) Urias was elevated to associate head coach in March 2026.

Urias joined the Storm coaching staff ahead of the 2020-21 season and served two seasons as a part-time assistant before moving into a full-time role in May 2022. She plays a key role in player development, scouting, and recruiting, helping guide Simpson's continued success in the American Rivers Conference.

The Dakota Dunes, S.D. native was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Brian Niemuth. During that span, she was a two-time all-conference second team performer and a three-time academic all-conference honoree. Urias ended her final year by averaging 10.2 points per contest and was third in the American Rivers Conference in assists (4.2) and steals (2.4) per game.

Urias graduated from Simpson in May 2020 with a degree in physical education.
