Storm suffer 2-0 loss at Luther

DECORAH, Iowa - Simpson's offense was stifled as the Storm dropped their conference match against Luther, 2-0, on Wednesday night.

The Storm (4-6-2, 0-1-1) came into the match averaging nearly 14 shots per game, but was held to only five attempts on the night. Luther (5-3-4, 3-0-0) was held scoreless through the first 60 minutes before two quick goals ended up being the difference maker.

GOAL SUMMARY

  • The match was gridlocked at 0-0 until the 62nd minute, when a cross from the near side found a streaking Norse player on the back post for the opening goal.
  • Minutes later, Luther struck from the top of the box, levering a shot over the Storm's backline to the top near post for the final goal.
