Storm compete in deep field, Perrin paces Simpson
NORMAL, Ill. - Taking part in the one of the largest tournaments in the country, Simpson men's golf battled with Blake Perrin earning the highest finish for the Storm.
Perrin posted another solid performance to lead the Storm, shooting 75 in the opening round before finishing with a 77 for a total of 152 and in 67th place out of 255 golfers. Perrin finished with six birdies, four of which came in the opening round.
Bradley Kofoed tied Perrin for the lowest round score of any Simpson golfer, matching his opening round of 75. Kofoed wrapped up with an 82 to place second on the team at 157. Jackson Tennis went 77 and 82 on the tournament, placing third for the Storm.
Avin Legg saw the largest improvement from the first round to the second, dropping three strokes to go 83-80-163, while Jack Wahman (79-87-166) closed out the scorecard for the Storm. Kaden Kasal and Jacob Peterson played as individuals, carding scores of 163 and 166 respectively.
As a team, Simpson moved up two spots on the final day of action, finishing 28th in the highly competitive field of 41 teams with a total team score of 627.
