Bio

Alex Boyer enters his fourth season coaching the offensive line at Simpson in 2026. He joined the coaching staff in May 2023 and was promoted to co-offensive coordinator in February 2026. 

Boyer came to Simpson from Judson University, where he was an offensive line coach for two years. He helped the program earn its first-ever win in school history and developed two all-conference linemen during that time. Additionally, he led a rushing attack that showcased a running back who rushed for over 1,200 yards on his way to All-American honors.

Prior to his time at Judson, Boyer was the tight ends and running back coach at Wayne State College. He obtained a master's degree in sports and organizational management while coaching the Wildcats.

Boyer graduated from Midland University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in secondary education and social sciences. He was a two-time all-conference offensive lineman at Midland and also landed on the NAIA/DIII All-Nebraska Team twice. The Frisco, Texas native achieved two NAIA scholar-athlete honors.
