Recent Team Accomplishments Under Roling
- Simpson is the only program in the conference to have a first team all-conference pitcher each of the past five seasons. Four Storm pitchers have also been named all-region.
- 2026 pitching staff ranked eighth in DIII in strikeouts per nine innings (10.4), 30th in strike-to-walk ratio, and tied for the most shutouts in the A-R-C.
- Simpson's 2026 offense led the conference in on-base percentage, doubles, fewest strikeouts, and walks. The Storm ranked second in batting average and third in runs scored.
- Simpson's 2026 offense produced the highest totals in runs and hits since 2009, as well as the most doubles, home runs, RBIs, and total bases since 2004. The Storm finished the year with their highest walk total since 1999, most stolen bases since 2011, and set a new program record for hit-by-pitches.
- Simpson has achieved the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award (minimum 3.0 GPA) each of the last three years.

Before Simpson
- Spent three seasons as the top assistant coach at Loras... oversaw recruiting, hitting, catching and team defense... team hit .314 in 2016 to tie for second in the IIAC... coached both the league’s batting champion and co-home run leader in 2016
- Served as the top assistant at Coe during a highly successful three-year stretch... helped the Kohawks go 89-43 with an IIAC Championship in 2011 and two trips to the NCAA Tournament... Coe experienced the three winningest seasons in school history during the stretch, including 32 wins in 2011
- Served as head coach of the River Valley Summer Collegiate Baseball League’s Dubuque Waves for a season... led the Waves to a league championship while earning Manager of the Year honors
