Lovan breaks school record in pole vault at Wartburg

WAVERLY, Iowa — Audrey LoVan broke the school record in the pole vault to lead the Simpson women's track and field team at the Wartburg Indoor Select on Friday. The Storm had four, top-five finishes.

LoVan cleared 10-feet 00.75-inches to set the school record in the pole vault. LoVan cleared 10-feet on Dec. 9 at the Dutch Holiday Preview tying Kathryn Fenneman for the school record. Fenneman set the school record in 2006.

Buchheit turned in the Storm's top finish in the running events, finishing the mile in 5:36.05. Bucheit finished two spots behind winner Janelle Ferguson (5:18.14) of Wisconsin-Platteville.

Jamie Glanz finished fourth in the high jump (4-10.05) and the 4x200 relay team crossed the line in 1:53.32 to finish fourth.
