Storm host Kip Janvrin Open

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Simpson women's track and field team posted 10, top-20 efforts at the highly competitive Kip Janvrin Open on Thursday and Friday. 

Alex Niemier, Jackie Cullinan and Sarah Sandage all posted 15th-place efforts in field events to lead the way. Niemier reached 37-feet, 1 3/4-inches in the shot put, Cullinan had a toss of 75-feet, 6-inches in the javelin throw and Sandage touched 14-feet, 3-inches in the long jump.

Rebecca Jensen finished 18th in the 100 meters and Jaycie Owens took 18th in the 400 hurdles for the top efforts on the track.
