CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — For the second week in a row Simpson's Brenna Yeutsy is the Iowa Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league office.

Iowa Conference Performers of the Week

A freshman from Urbandale, Iowa, Yeutsy broke her second school record of the season last week, winning three races in two competitions. The Storm went 2-1 on the week, beating Loras 132-83 on Friday and splitting with Beloit and Ripon on Saturday to improve to 6-3 on the year.

Yeutsy's school record came in the 1,000-yard freestyle, as she touched the wall in 11:36.78 to break the school record set in 2012. She also won the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay against Loras, adding three second-place efforts. Yeutsy also owns the school record in the 500 freestyle.

Simpson swimmers have won IIAC Performer of the Week honors three times this season. In addition to Yeutsy's two awards, Maren Hoferitza-Palermo won on Oct. 16.
