Scott climbs to No. 6 in NWCA Division III Rankings

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Senior DeVaughn Scott has moved up to No. 6 in the country after the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Individual Rankings were updated on Jan. 30.

The 197-pounder Scott moved up two spots from his position at No. 8 when the previous polls were released. The Carrollton, Texas native has an overall season record of 21-3 and has six pins this season. Scott holds a perfect 10-0 dual record this year.

In his previous match, Scott captured a 9-2 decision over Kevin Pape of Buena Vista on Friday in Hopper Gymnasium.

On Thursday, Simpson will host No. 12 Central for its last home event of the year. The dual is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
