  • Athletic department signs five-year deal with BSN SPORTS, Nike

    The Simpson athletic department has signed a five-year agreement with BSN SPORTS to be the official supplier of athletic apparel and equipment for all 19 varsity sports. Under the partnership, Nike will become the exclusive supplier of the Storm’s uniforms, apparel and accessories.
  • Bob Nutgrass appointed Athletic Director

    Simpson College President Jay Simmons announced Wednesday that Bob Nutgrass, a long-time staff member and current assistant athletic director, will become the college’s next Athletic Director. He replaces Brian Niemuth, who has held the role for the past five years in addition to serving as the head women’s basketball coach.

    Curt Castenson went six-plus innings in his best start of the season, Trey Kehoe homered and Hunter Hillygus drove in three runs while collecting his 100th career hit as the Storm beat Buena Vista 10-5 in game one to take 2 of 3 from Buena Vista. Buena Vista won game two 6-0.
